FAQs

How to get a library card:

If you have a library card from any of our member libraries, you are already authorized to use Leavenworth Public Library!

If you do not, you need to bring a current photo ID and proof of your current address in order to get a card. The following documents can be used as proof of address:

  • Your ID, if it is up-to-date
  • A lease, rental, or housing agreement
  • A utility bill
  • A piece of mail addressed to your name
  • A current check or bank statement

If you don't have any of the above, we can send a postcard to your home that you can then use as proof of address. Just ask at the circulation desk!

How to place a hold from home:

Didn't find what you were looking for at the Leavenworth Public Library?  It is easy to request an item from one of our partner libraries.  Follow the link below to find step-by-step instructions for requesting an item from another library.

How to access the internet at the library:

With your library card, you are entitled to one hour of time each day on our Internet terminals. In order to access them, you will need your library card number and your 4-digit PIN. If you do not know one or both of these numbers, please check with the circulation staff.

We also have free wi-fi available throughout the building. Inquire at the reference desk for the current password.

For out-of-town or temporary visitors, 15-minute guest passes are available. Inquire at the reference desk.
