2020 Summer Reading Program

Readers of all ages are invited to participate in the Library’s annual Summer Reading Program in June and July. All activities are free of charge and are geared toward all ages, preschool through adult.

This year’s theme, “Imagine Your Story,” celebrates storytelling through fairy tales, folk tales and myths. Patrons are invited to take a “once upon a time” journey through classic tales and film versions of beloved stories, discover new favorites with modern characters and explore new ideas from long ago and far away.

Children and teens can earn prizes for reaching specific reading goals, while adults can earn prizes for attending online programs and participating in a book/movie/music review challenge. This year, all reading activities will be logged online. Children and Teens will use an app called ReaderZone. Adults will use an online form.

Once Upon a Time Virtual Escape Room
This online, just-for-fun activity is for all ages, but recommended for 10 and older.

In addition to reading challenges, the library offers a number of special events for all ages during the program in June and July. This year, due to Covid-19, all events will be online unless otherwise specified. Check the Library’s calendar for dates, times and how to access the programs.
