Readers of all ages can participate in the Library’s annual Summer Reading Program in June and July. All activities are free of charge and geared toward all ages, preschool through adult.
This year’s theme, “Tails and Tales,” celebrates animals and storytelling. Patrons are invited to take a safari through classic animal tales and stories, discover new favorites and explore new ideas from the animal kingdom and the world around us.
Children can earn books for reaching specific reading goals and teens can earn books and small prizes for participating in a book review challenge. Log children’s and teen reading activities online with an app called ReaderZone.
Adults can earn prizes for attending programs and participating in a book/movie/music review challenge. Review forms are available in the Library or online. Click below for additional details and requirements.
In addition to reading challenges, the library offers a number of special events for all ages in June and July. Many programs are online, but some will be in the Library or outdoors in city parks. Check the Library’s calendar for the full schedule of events.
