2023 Summer Reading Program

Check back on this page for updates as we get ready for a fun-filled summer of activities for all age groups, from toddlers to adults.

Youth

Registration for youth (infants through high schoolers up to age 18) is now open.* When you register at any of the circulation desks, each child will receive a summer reading bag and passport with the reading challenge. You can also attend special events and get creative with different take & make crafts each week. Check the calendar to register for any of the fun events we have planned!

*This does not register you for any of the individual events. Registration for the Summer Reading Program helps us keep track of participation.

Youth Passport

Check out books, movies, audiobooks or music CDs about the different topics. (Whatever you like best!) Read or listen to your selections, or have them read to you, and mark them down in your passport.
When you complete a page in your passport, bring it to the Children’s desk to get it stamped.
When your passport is full, turn in to the Children’s desk to enter the Grand Prize drawing for your age group.
Grand prize drawing will be held Wednesday, July 26 at 4 p.m. You do not have to be present to win. One entry allowed per person.

Adults

One Book, Many Neighbors

“Nothing brings strangers together faster than a good murder story.”

Join us for a series of crime stories from the collection When A Stranger Comes to Town, with related programs at seven area libraries. Check onebookmanyneighbors.org for details and updates on the ongoing investigation and to listen to interviews with some of the book’s authors.

All Together Now Review Challenge for Adults

Fill out an online review form or pick up a printed form in the Library to rate whatever book/movie/music you are reading, watching or listening to June 1 through July 31, 2023. Prize awarded for the first review turned in; for each additional review, participants will receive an entry for the Grand Prize, a $250 VISA gift card. Grand Prize winner will be announced on Monday, Aug. 7, 2023.
